Tech Startup Our Love Company Welcomes Retired Lieutenant General Leslie C. Smith to Board of Directors

Fairfax, VA, February 1, 2022 – Our Love Company (Our Love), the tech startup that helps couples grow closer, navigate difficult topics, and keep their relationships fresh, welcomes retired Lieutenant General Leslie C. Smith to its board of directors.

Lieutenant General Smith served as 66th Inspector General, Office of the Secretary of the US Army for the last three years of his 35-year distinguished career in the US Army. He spent decades helping units and organizations improve readiness through leadership, training, and development. Now, Lieutenant General Smith brings his relationships, connections, skills, and strategic knowledge to the Our Love board of directors.

"I can tell you the United States military leadership often thinks about ways to promote strong, resilient relationships," said Lieutenant General Smith. "Research shows that for veterans, the most vulnerable time for any number of adverse life outcomes is after a committed relationship fails. Moreover, military readiness and morale are impacted by relational wellbeing among troops. For this reason, I enthusiastically joined the board of Our Love because I believe its vision—in its inclusivity and ambition—represents a uniquely exciting and promising opportunity to benefit couples and families on scale."

With the addition of Lt. Gen. Leslie Smith to its board of directors, Our Love expands its all-star team of leaders and advisors. Lieutenant General Smith joins strategic consulting firm leader Stuart Kliman, marketing and commerce expert Lisa Tanzer, and Johns Hopkins Medicine’s Chief Medical Director of Employee Health and Wellness Dr. Richard Safeer as board director.

Our Love continues to develop its partnerships with other organizations who value strong relationships. The company is in active dialogue with a prominent NGO to incorporate a romantic, relational wellbeing initiative developed by the NGO into the Our.Love app. This initiative is designed for members of the armed forces. Our.Love looks forward to announcing this partnership in the coming weeks.
